Actor and politician Vijayakanth gets discharged from the hospital

Popular Tamil actor turned politician Vijayakanth was admitted to a private hospital in Chennai on November 18, after complaining about a cough, cold and sore throat. After more than two weeks, Vijayakanth was discharged from the hospital yesterday in night after full recovery. Though the actor was suffering from a common illness, a statement from hospital management last week shocked fans as it claimed the actor's situation was unstable and stated that he would continue to be in the hospital for another two weeks. Therefore, panic fans started worrying about the actor and sending messages on social media. Vijayakanth will soon be meeting fans and party members to express his gratitude for their unconditional prayers.On the professional front, actor-politician Vijayakanth has been off from movies for over 8 years, and he last appeared in a cameo role in his son Shanmuga Pandian's debut film 'Sagaptham'. Vijay Milton initially planned to have Vijayakanth play a crucial role in 'Mazhai Pidikkatha Manithan' featuring Vijay Antony in the lead role. But the actor has yet to film for the film, and his health condition didn't permit him to shoot for the film.
