The number of actors venturing into M'town is on the rise. The new addition is Bengali beauty Tanushri Ghosh. This model-turned actor is making her debut in Mollywood through Arun Kumar’s E Adutha Kalathu.Born and brought up in Kolkatta, Tanushri was a known face in the modelling industry. After acting in Moner Majhe Tumi, a Bengali movie with a triangular love story, she is trying her luck in the south.
“I love to work in Malayalam movies as they are more sensible.” She is grateful to Raju (producer) and Arun (director) for giving her an opportunity to prove her mettle.
Tanushri is now busy learning her dialogues. Though new to the language she is confident that she can put up a commentable performance. “The language is actually a tongue-twister. But I think I can manage. I feel there is some similarity between Bengali and Malayalam,” she says.
Tanushri says she wants to do sensible characters. Though not averse to the idea of glamour, she says she would love to play strong roles. Even though she is a novice in the industry, she do not want to be stereotyped as a 'glamour doll.'
Tanushri is also a contemporary dancer and is a devoted yoga practitioner. “Like acting yoga is also my passion," she says.
The cast of E Adutha Kalathu also includes Indrajith, Anoop Menon and Mythili.
