The young actor is making a comeback to Mollywood after a gap of four years. She will play the lead opposite Dileep in Sandhya Mohan’s Mr Marumakan. Theaudience can soon see her transformation from a village belle to a modern girl.“So far the roles I did were that of a village girl. But in Mr Marumakan Iplay a very modern character. That does not mean I have goneultra-modern,” says the actor.“In the movie, I play anarrogant and proud daughter who is back from Paris after finishing a course infashion designing. It’s a family entertainer peppered with comedy andromance,” says Sanusha who has groomed herself to don bold characters inTamil. She just finished a Tamil movie Parimala Thiraiarangam which will hittheatres for Diwali. Sanusha started her career as a child artist inVinayan’s Dada Sahib. “My first movie is Vinayan’s War andPeace. However, it was Dada Sahib which got released first,” says Sanushawho has acted in almost 30 films including Tamil and Telugu.Though aknown star in Kollywood, Sanusha is still a little girl for many in Mollywood.“Even now on the sets everybody consider me as a child,” she sayswith a smile. For her, the shift from child artist to a heroine was not at alldifficult.
“I just continue to act.”Sanusha who has acted inKollywood and Sandalwood movies says there is not much difference in eachregion. She is now fluent in Tamil and dubs herself for herroles.“I feel lucky to have had such wonderful co-stars whohave always helped me to improve my acting skills.”Currentlypursuing her Plus-Two, Sanusha is balancing studies and shoots with ease.“My teachers and friends are a big support for me.” Because of herhectic schedule she is not able to attend class regularly. “I want tostudy further. But right now I am just focussing on Plus-Two,” she says.If not an actor, Sanusha says she might have become a doctor. She feelsblessed to be part of a very supportive family. “From the very beginningall of us used to go together to the sets. It’s like a familyouting.”With more than 30 movies in her kitty does she haveany character that is close to her heart? “Every movie is special forme,” she signs off.
