Sachin’s 39th birthday seems to be working good for him, first, with his 100th century and now, his chance to open a new chapter in his life at the Rajya Sabha.Sachin has handled pressure at several occasions. So he’ll do justice to his new role too (A cricket enthusiast himself, Vinu is now in Thalassery for a match with the Thalassery Cricket Association’s team, with eight of his fellow players in Kerala’s celebrity cricket team).

Whether Sachin will become an MP or not will not make any difference to the love and affection he gets from the public. Even if he becomes an MP, I guess his first priority will always be cricket. There are so many who just sit there in the Rajya Sabha, doing nothing. Sachin will be better than them any day.
