​Bhavana Pandey calls herself an 'outsider'; Karan Johar reacts

The insider vs. outsider debate in Bollywood has been a hot topic for a while, with many actors sharing their views. Recently, Ananya Panday's mother Bhavana Pandey, called herself an "outsider." Despite being married into the industry, Bhavana feels like an outsider because she wasn’t born into a Bollywood family.Even her filmmaker friend Karan Johar was surprised! This happened in an episode of 'Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives,' the third season of KJo’s web series.In the episode, Bhavana Pandey and her fellow Bollywood wives went out to celebrate the opening of a restaurant renovated by Shah Rukh Khan’s better half, Gauri Khan, who is also an interior designer. During a conversation with Karan Johar, Bhavana referred to herself and the other star wives as "outsiders," which left KJo quite taken aback.Bhavana asked, “Karan, what do you think of us as outsiders?” When KJo got confused, Bhavana explained, “In this industry.”Karan's reaction to Bhavana Pandey’s comment was priceless. In his typical witty style, he responded, “Being Ananya Panday’s mother, Shanaya Kapoor’s mother, and also Aryan and Suhana’s mother, if you all are calling yourselves outsiders, you’ll get trolled!” Later, in a confessional, Bhavana clarified her stance, saying, “I was an outsider. I am an insider. Every insider was an outsider once. Right? Try and argue that with me.” While Bhavana made a valid point, her friend Seema Sajdeh wasn’t convinced. Reacting to the explanation, Seema said, “Nice try, Bhavana. Nice try.”
