Recently, while addressing the media on the sets of Kalavadiya Pozhuthugal, in which he makes a brief appearance as Periyar, the actor dismissed all the accolades showered upon him for agreeing to do a guest appearance in the film.He said, ���I don���t know why they hesitated to approach me for this project. It is an honour to play the role of Periyar. All of them are thanking me for having agreed to do this role. But I have to thank them for asking me to play the role of such a great man.��� The star also disclosed that he has always wanted to play the role of Karl Marx. Thangar Bachan, the director of the film, said a song was being filmed with 9,000 artistes, in which actor-turned-director Prabhu Deva plays the lead.
