Namitha's betting big on Ilaignan

Actress Namitha is betting big on her role in Ilaignan, which has been directed by well-known director Sureshkrissna.
Ilaignan will be Namitha’s first Tamil film in almost 15 months. Her last Tamil film was Jaganmohini, which hit the screens in 2009.
And if one is to go by what Namitha claims, then her role in Ilaignan could well bring her back into the spotlight.
Says the actress, “After Jaganmohini, I wanted to do a powerful character in Tamil. My character in Ilaignan is exactly that. I play a manipulative woman in the film.
Honestly, I was a little apprehensive about doing this role but then, I agreed when director Sureshkrissna told me, ‘Just trust me’. This is a character that is bound to be talked about like the Neelambari character which Ramya did in Padaiyappa.”
