Karunai gets a ‘real’ity touch

Ilan, who has worked as an assistant director in movies directed and produced by A D Sabha and S Dhanu, is debuting as an actor in the movie Karunai.
What���s more, he is also directing and scoring the music for this film.
Ask him what the movie is all about and Ilan says, ���The story revolves around a mentally-challenged child.��� And he insists that this movie is special for him in many ways.���We have cast a mentally-challenged kid to play the pivotal role,��� he says, not willing to comment more about the child or his character.
Gayathri will be pairing opposite Ilan in this movie, for which Kadhal Kandhas will choreograph the moves. The entire movie is being shot in and around Chennai ��� Ennur, Vandalur, Vedanthangal, Chengalpet and Manimangalam, to name a few.
