TV and Punjabi actor
Kanika Mann shot for a Punjabi music video, 'Ik Munda' soon after the lockdown. She, who stayed at her hometown in Panipat in the lockdown, came to Mohali to shoot the video of the song that is by Amar Sandhu. Soon after, Kanika flew back to Mumbai to resume shooting for the TV show, 'Guddan- Tumse Na Payega'. While Kanika has shot several Punjabi music videos before she became an actor on TV, she says shooting for 'Ik Munda' will remain one of the most memorable.

Amar Sandhu
"This song was the first assignment I had done after the lockdown," says Kanika, adding, "So naturally I was apprehensive and also excited at the prospect of facing the camera again after over two months. And also this was a Punjabi song, something that is close to my heart as I used to model for Punjabi videos before doing TV. But, when I came to Mohali and saw that there are only 10-11 people for the shoot and there is no
halla gulla, no shor sharaba, I was surprised. I thought,
acha, aise bhi shoot hotein hain Punjabi ke. But yeah, that's the new normal."
Besides doing this song, Kanika says she also learnt cooking from
Diljit Dosanjh. "I have never cooked in my life. In the lockdown, I used to see Diljit's
Instagram videos of him cooking meals everyday and wonder, if he can cook at least I can stand in the kitchen!" laughs Kanika. In the lockdown, Kanika also picked up another activity that she had never done before in her life. "I had never exercised before now. But in the lockdown, I started exercising and danced a lot," she says.
