Punjabi celebrities who deserve a Bollywood break

Artists from Punjabi entertainment world have been stepping on the B-town bus since quite some time now. From Diljit Dosanjh who already has a lot on his plate to Jassie Gill who is ready to make his debut with ‘Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi’, the list is long. However, there are a few artists who haven’t yet made it to Bollywood, but certainly, have the caliber to make it big in B-town. Read on to know about the Punjabi stars who we would love to see in Bollywood:

2/6

Amrinder Gill

Besides establishing himself as a great singer, Amrinder Gill has proved his mettle as an actor in the industry. From comedy films to serious dramas, Amrinder Gill has been a part of both. Some of his great works include ‘Ángrej’, ‘Lahoriye’ and ‘Sarvan’. Amrinder has also done cameos in many movies, and we have to admit those cameos did bring a twist in the tale. A talent like him would be a delight to watch in a Bollywood movie.

3/6

Sonam Bajwa

From a face that personifies elegance to a body that one can die for, Sonam Bajwa is an epitome of perfect beauty. In addition to her flawless looks, the girl has got great acting skills. Be it a de-glam role of a simple village girl or a character showing her as the style icon, Sonam can pull off both with finesse. Also, the actress has done a couple of movies in the South Indian movie industry and has aced her act. Now since Sonam has already tried different industries, it would not be a task for her to work on a Bollywood project.

4/6

Ammy Virk

Another singer-actor from the Punjabi entertainment industry who deserves the limelight of B-town is Ammy Virk. As a singer Ammy has sung all types of songs, be it romantic, sad or peppy. Likewise, on the cinematic front, he has done comedy, period drama, and even a biopic. He has been known for portraying both intense and light characters with equal charm and dedication. Thus, he is a perfect fit to be a B-town A-lister, and it seems like Bollywood has actually seen that spark in him. He recently shared a picture of him with Hindi film director Kabir Khan and since then the reports of him boarding the B-town bus is doing the rounds.

5/6

Simi Chahal

Talking of Simi Chahal, she is cute, she is bubbly, but when in front of the camera she is one of the most serious actors to be known in the industry. Simi chose to show her sheer acting skill while signing her first movie ‘Bambukat’. And from there on, she never looked back. In just four years, she has set a benchmark for all the actresses in the industry.

6/6

Parmish Verma

The Punjabi gabru Parmish Verma, who is known to win hearts, is our next pick for the category. The singer-actor is just a movie old, but he has a couple of big Pollywood projects lined up for him. However, his appearance in Punjabi songs is enough to prove why he is a B-town material. Also, the fact that he has been chosen to play the lead role in the Punjabi remake of Bollywood movie ‘Singham’, supports the very point that the actor deserves a big break in the tinsel town.
