‘Ekam - Son of Soil’

Being a part of the glitz world remains the dream of many, but Mandy’s dream turned into reality with the release of her debut Punjabi movie ’Ekam Son of Soil’. Entering into Pollywood was indeed a big deal, but what made it bigger was getting the first film opposite one of the most noted Punjabi stars Babbu Maan. The 2010 released movie was a family drama having Babbu Maan and Mandy Takhar in lead. Mandy played the love interest of Babbu, who despite all odds, fought to be with him. The actress was highly appreciated for her work in the movie and since then, she never looked back.

‘Mirza - The Untold Story’

After making her big debut opposite Maan, in her second movie, ‘Mirza - The Untold Story’, Mandy Takhar shared screen space with another Punjabi superstar Gippy Grewal. ‘Mirza - The Untold Story’ is counted among the highest budgeted movies of Punjabi cinema. In the movie, Mandy portrayed the role of modern Sahiba and slayed the silver screen with her drop-dead gorgeousness. Her work was so much appreciated that she not only won hearts but also the best actress award.

‘Rabb Da Radio’

Directed by Tanvir Singh Jagpal, ‘Rabb Da Radio’ is considered as one of the gems of Punjabi cinema, and Mandy Takhar is among those who helped the movie earn this stature. Though in one of her interviews, Mandy quoted that her character as Naseeb in the movie was really challenging, her appearance on the screen spoke differently. The actress did her role with utmost ease. In person, Mandy is a very fun loving person and quite notorious, on the other hand, in the movie she played a completely opposite character.

‘Sardaar Ji’

Starring opposite Diljit Dosanjh, ‘Sardaar Ji’ is another hit that Mandy has in her name. Yet again, Mandy’s beautiful face with the right pinch of innocence left the audience in awe. She played the role of a dancer and salsa teacher in the movie. Right from the parts wherein, she acted cold-hearted to the parts where she opened up about her feelings, Mandy was a delight to watch.
6/6

‘Khido Khundi’

With the release of her recent movie ‘Khido Khundi’, Mandy broke the character stereotype. Before the hockey-based movie, Mandy was mostly seen playing docile and innocent roles, but in ‘Khido Khundi’ her character was strong enough to stand for herself and others. She played the role of a girl who wears her heart on her sleeves.
