Punjabi film director Sukhminder Dhanjal’s mother passes away

The Punjabi film industry is grappling with the sad news of the demise of Sukhminder Dhanjal's mother. It is a sad moment for the director and the industry as a whole. Sukhminder Dhanjal has taken to his social media handle to share the news. Posting a picture of his mother he wrote - “Alvida Maaaaaa......”



According to the reports, the cremation rituals were done today at 1 pm Ram Bagh Ludhiana. The final rites witnessed the presence of all near and dear ones, paying their respects to the departed soul. Expressing condolences and grief, actor Malkeet Rauni shared his sympathies via social media. Sukhmider’s post also got comments that prayed for his mother’s soul.

A couple of years back, in 2020, Sukhmider lost his wife Manpreet Dhanjal. After 24 years of companionship, his life partner left him due to cardiac arrest. Sukhminder during his conversation with Etimes mentioned that it was one of the toughest times of his life, as due to the pandemic nobody came to his help. Though his wife was not Covid positive, he got no support from anyone. Sukhminder and his daughter had to carry Manpreet’s corpse to the car by themselves. Later, two strangers aided him with cremation.
