Pollywood roundup: ‘Carry On Jatta 3’ getting a release date to the first look of ‘Posti’ coming out; these movies made headlines this week

This week not one or two but a total of six movies made headlines. While some new movies were announced, some got release dates. Also, on one hand, the camera stopped rolling on the sets of one movie, while another movie just wrapped up the final schedule. ‘Carry On Jatta 3’ is one of the much awaited threequels of Pollywood. The movie has been the talk of the town right from the word go. And now this week the movie again turned heads as the makers have locked down the release date of the film. The Gippy Grewal production will be released on June 25th 2021. Just like the earlier installments, this third part will be helmed by Smeep Kang. Also, the audience will get to see Gippy Grewal, Binnu Dhillon, Gurpreet Ghuggi, Karamjit Anmol and Jaswinder Bhalla in key roles. Update on the female lead is yet to be out.

The Ksshitij Chaudhary directorial ‘Sohreyan Da Pind Aa Gea’ made news this week, as the shoot of the same finally got wrapped up. Gurnam Bhullar who is playing the lead in the movie took to his social media handle to announce the wrap. He posted a video on his Instagram, wherein he said that soon the trailer and songs of the movie will be reaching the audience soon.

The movie is slated to be released on May 29th, 2020.

Rana Ranbir directorial ‘Posti’ also turned heads this week, as the first poster of the same came out. Featuring almost the whole cast of the movie in three different segments, the poster hints at different tales bonded together. However, something more concrete can be said only once the movie’s teaser or trailer comes out. The movie is scheduled to hit the big screen on March 20th, 2020.

The movie ‘MIB: Kale Kachchian Wale’ was announced last year and now this week the shooting of the same commenced. When the movie was announced, all we knew was that Ranjit Bawa will be seen in the lead. But now that the movie’s shoot has begun, we got an update on the female lead as well, which is Sapna Pabbi. This is Sapna’s third movie under Gippy Grewal’s banner. Now people are waiting for an update on the release date.

This week a new movie was announced that stirred a lot of buzz. As after a good break of 5 months Kartar Cheema announced his next project - ‘Defaulter’. Reaching cinemas in 2020, the movie will be directed by Avtar Singh and bankrolled by Mansi Singh, Gurjit Singh, Apoorv Ghai, Sarb Gill and Ranjiv Singla. Further, the movie is reportedly to be from the genre content based films.

Talking of new movie announcements, ‘Gandhi 3: Yaaran Da Yaar’ was announced this week. Featuring Dev Kharoud again as the lead in the third installment of the ‘Rupinder Gandhi’ series, the movie is slated to be released next year. But the makers haven’t circled a proper date so far.
