The year 2018 marked Jassie Gill’s debut in the Bollywood industry with ‘Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi’. The Mudassar Aziz directorial was a sequel to 2016 released ‘Happy Bhag Jayegi’. Jassie Gill shared the screen space opposite Sonakshi Sinha in the movie. He donned a turban for his character and also learned Mandarin, one of the official languages of China. He essayed the role of a happy-go-lucky and very helpful person in the movie, which garnered him a lot of love from the audience.

While the audience was still in awe with Jassie’s performance in ‘Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi’, the Punjabi singer-actor made his next move. He signed his second Bollywood movie ‘Panga’. Slated to release next year, the movie is being helmed by Ashwiny Iyer. It’s a sports-based movie, in which Kangana Ranaut is essaying the role of a Kabaddi player and Jassie Gill is sharing the screen with her as her husband. The shoot of the same is on the floor right now. Besides highlighting the game, the movie will also be bringing forth the value of family and relations. Jassie Gill says that this aspect of the movie is what made him connect with the project more.

Jassie Gill and Neha Kakkar’s collaboration ‘Nikle Currant’ turned heads right from the day it was announced. The song was shot a year back but due to some reasons couldn’t make it to the charts back then. However, when it finally came out it was all worth the wait.
