Dilpreet Dhillon-Aamber Dhaliwal, Juggy D-Kiran Sandhi, Honey Singh-Shalini Talwar: Punjabi celebs who are allegedly having trouble in their marriages

They might have had a fairy-tale love story and a dreamy wedding but when it comes to relationships and real-life problems, celebrities are just like us. At a time when celebrities parting ways have become more newsworthy than celebrities getting married, we take a look at some of your favorite Punjabi couples who have apparently been having some trouble in their paradise.

Dilpreet Dhillon and Aamber Dhaliwal's marital feud was one of the biggest controversies of 2020. After 2 years of marriage, Punjabi singer-actor Dilpreet Dhillon's wife Aamber Dhaliwal accused him of domestic violence and infidelity. She supported her case with a call recording where she was allegedly having a conversation with a girl, who confessed to being in a relationship with Dilpreet Dhillon. Accusations of domestic violence were also made by Aamber. She shared some videos to put her point in front of the public. On the other hand, Dilpreet Dhillon kept saying that all the allegations are wrong, and nothing will give him more joy than Aamber returning to his life.

Punjabi singer Jagwinder Singh Dhaliwal aka Juggy D's British-Indian wife Kiran Sandhi filed a domestic violence suit against him earlier this year. According to Pinkvilaa, the singer was reportedly arrested in London owing to the case. Reports suggest that Kiran found proof of Juggy D's infidelity on his phone chats, few of which she even made public. This trouble in their paradise came after more than a decade of being married to each other.

In January 2011, Yo Yo Honey Singh married his long-time sweetheart Shalini Talwar. And until August 2021, these two were lauded for giving couple goals. However, in August 2021, their image of a perfect married couple broke when Shalini filed a domestic violence case against Honey Singh. Talwar in her statement to the court mentioned that she was being physically assaulted for 10 years and she just can't take it anymore. She also accused Honey of cheating on her.

Yograj Singh who is famous for both his former cricket career and present filmography, called it quits with his first wife Shabnam Singh after a couple of years of wedding. Their son Yuvraj Singh was a teenager when Yograj and Shabnam parted ways.

Further, Yograj in his 2003's interview with Chandigarh Times mentioned how the difference in background between him and his wife led to their separation. The interview quoted him saying, "My marriage to Yuvraj's mother Shabnam was a mistake. We are from completely different backgrounds; I am a farmer whereas she is from a business family. Her education gave her a lot of exposure. She wanted to go out and be independent. Unfortunately, I am an old-fashioned man who thinks that a woman’s place is at home. Add to that the emotional turmoil and frustration I was going through and my relationship with her kept going downhill. I also started drinking. We reached a point where we just couldn't understand each other. But I have to give her credit that she did a lot for my family. Maybe if she had been a little more tenacious with me, things could have worked out."
