BirthdaySpecial! Hubby Harry Jawandha’s most honest interview on Neeru Bajwa: She is our superwoman - Exclusive

The queen of Punjabi cinema, Neeru Bajwa has turned a year old today. Though the actress has proved that age is just a number, she with her personal and professional choices has proved time and again that she is turning into a better version of herself every year. And thus, to celebrate her birthday, ETimes got in touch with the person who is the closest to her, the one who really knows her in and out, Neeru Bajwa’s husband Harry Jawandha. He is her partner in life and partner in crime and during our exclusive chit-chat, he gave us a window to see who Neeru Bajwa really is.

Talking about how Neeru Bajwa effortlessly manages her work and her home, Harry told us, “She's our superwoman. She handles her children, and husband (at times the biggest baby ). She is out there entertaining the world and doing what she is so passionate about, all the while managing her home life. Yes, it's difficult for us not to see her for long stretches at a time, but somehow she makes it work. She is not just the queen of the industry, she is the best queen a man could ask for.”

Neeru Bajwa has turned 42 this year but all those who know her, know for a fact that she is a kid at heart. Elaborating on the same, Harry said, “My personal view is, age is just a number. With good choices in life, you can make yourself as young as you like (within reason lol ). And Neeru has done this through her choices in life. Having said that, when it comes to her birthday, she becomes a six-year-old lol. It's a month-long celebration lol. Well deserved.”

During our interaction, we asked Harry what is the most romantic thing the two have done for each other to which he replied, “the most romantic thing we have done for each other, is we put our arms around each other on our second meeting. And said, " we are going to get married and have an amazing life " 8 years later, it's only gotten better.”

“It's to take me out during the day before her birthday, get me drunk, take me shopping, queen is very smart lol. In Canada, it's the day before so guess what is happening right now lol. Celebrations start on August 1st. The entire month she will tell us all, "it's okay just my birthday, not a big deal ". Believe me, it's a big deal,” says Harry Jawandha talking about Neeru Bajwa’s birthday ritual.

When we asked Harry what is the one thing he wishes for Neeru on her special day, he said, “Next on the agenda is Hollywood. This has been my wish and push. And she will, she has. But her true love and faithfulness will always be with the Punjabi industry. This is what has made her, she will always know it.”

Toward the end of the conversation, we asked Harry, which role or movie of Neeru Bajwa he loves the most. And he had the sweetest reply to this question. He said, “This may sound like the easiest answer but it's the most truthful one, all of them. I just see her getting better and better, I enjoy every moment of her on screen.”
