6 reasons to watch Rama Madhav

Grandeur of the film

The trailer of the film clearly shows that the makers have not compromised on anything. The costumes and the jewellery seen in the film has already become a taking point across households. Nitin Chandrakant Desai, who is known for his lavish set design, has done an excellent job of recreating the Shaniwar Wada. 'Rama Madhav' is not a war film, yet glimpses of war sequences shown in the trailer have made an impact. The grandeur of the film makes the film worth watching.

Sonalee

Sonalee is one of the major attractions of the film. Despite being in a character role, she features predominantly in the trailer of the film. People are curious to see how Sonalee portrays the character of Anandibai. History presents Anandibai in a negative light as the one who changed the order of Raghunathrao which led to Narayanrao’s death. Makers say that they explored the lesser known facts about Anandibai in the film. Anandibai was also considered to be particular about her dressing and jewellery and it will be very interesting to see how Sonalee would show this side of the historical character.

Actress Mukta Barve has been recommending Parna to filmmakers hence the curiosity about how Parna will perform, is very high. Aditi Rao-Hydari and Prasad Oak

Choreographed by Saroj Khan and performed by Bollywood hottie Aditi Rao-Hydari, the mujra number of ‘Rama Madhav’ is another highlight of the film. The song features Prasad Oak along with Aditi. It has been placed at a strategic point in the film and helps it move forward. While Prasad Oak in Raghunathrao aka Raghoba dada's role has generated curiosity among people, Aditi’s photos of the mujra number are also attracting a lot of attention. The makers informed that Aditi took immense efforts during the shoot to get her act right.

Mrinal Kulkarni and Ravindra Mankani

Mrinal Kulkarni and Ravindra Mankani’s had mesmerised the Marathi speaking audience over two decades ago with their chemistry in the roles of Ramabai and Madhavrao in the teleserial ‘Swami’. Here, they will be seen playing Madhavrao’s parents Nanasaheb Peshwe and Gopikabai. It will be interesting to see how their onscreen equation has changed with time. Besides, post ‘Swami’ Mankani had become synonymous with the Peshwa name. With an exception of Narayanrao Peshwe, Mankani has played roles of all the prominent Peshwas in films and serials. After ‘Swami’, Mrinal too went on to play various historical characters like that of Draupadi, Jijabai and others, in serials and films.

Shruti Marathe and Amol Kolhe

The hot and bold Shruti Marathe will be seen essaying an intense role of Parvatibai in the film. Sans the oomph factor Shruti has finally drawn everybody’s attention to her acting skills and the actress has managed to look her best in the traditional attire. Amol Kolhe who is popular for his acts of Shivaji Maharaj and Sambhaji Maharaj, will be seen in the role of a Peshwa family member for the first time. Mrinal and Amol’s chemistry as mother and son in a serial based on Shivaji Maharaj’s life was widely appreciated. The same is expected in this film which too has them playing a mother and son, albeit in the Peshwa family.
