Prashant Damle is a prominent name in Marathi theatre and film industry. Prominently known as the superstar of the Marathi theatres, Prashant Damle made his debut in the Marathi industry with 'Pudhcha Paul' directed by Raj Dutt where he gained spotlight and became more popular amongst the audience. Unlike theatre, he has also served Marathi film industry for years. And thus, is one of the favorite actors.

In May 2013 Damle suffered a mild heart stroke during his play rehearsals. After a few tests, angiography revealed 4 blockages in the arteries supplying blood to his heart but he got operated successfully and he made a major come back with his play 'Eka Lagnachi Goshta'.

Mr. Damle has 5 Limca book records in his name, for staging 4 shows of 3 different plays, for staging 452 shows in a year and the other 2 for breaking his own previous records. Other than this he also has a record in Guinness book on his name for his play 'Gela Madhav Konikade' for staging the 10700th show. He has also bagged different awards for his acting skills, one of them is 'Dinanath Mangeshkar award'.

Not only an actor and singer but he is also a renowned producer of theatre, through this he started his own foundation called Prashant fan foundation through which he carries on his social work for the welfare of the society. He has also donated Rs 1 lakh for the water program of Maharashtra Govt.

In the year 2012, he started Theatre School of Performing Arts (T School Institute) in Pune to help young newcomers in the film industry to get a professional acting training and master their acting skills. The institute also provides a professional dance training which is equally important for the aspiring actors.
