With the second wave of coronavirus creating an urgent need for medical resources, donations, and people coming together to help each other, celebrities, too, are trying to make a difference in their own way, in these difficult times. From helping in amplifying COVID-related SOS queries on social media to raising funds, known faces from Bollywood, Hollywood, sports, and regional entertainment industries have come forward to do their bit.

Prarthana Behere is also making efforts to help those struggling financially in the pandemic. It’s no news that the ‘Ti And Ti’ actress is a gifted painter, who has been sharing her artworks and the process of creating them on social media. Now, she started a campaign — Happy Us — on Instagram, wherein she’ll be selling her paintings to raise funds for the cause. Sharing the pictures and details of the artwork, which is up for sale, the actress wrote a long note, sharing the inspiration and idea behind the initiative.

A lot of families are going through difficult times. I had been thinking what is it that I can do that would make a little difference to the lives of those suffering. Since I have been painting in the lockdown, my friend suggested that I could sell my artwork to raise funds to help those in need,” wrote Prarthana, whose 2X 2 ft acrylic water-base floral painting is up for sale.
The 'Barayan' actress, shared a detailed note on her Instagram page to announce the initiative: The actress stressed that while an artist doesn’t like to sell their own artwork, she’s glad that she can use her paintings to raise funds and give back to society. She continued, “I’ve started this campaign with an idea of doing something noble and I need your help to make it successful. Don’t buy these paintings, thinking you’re spending your money. Consider it as a return gift from me for helping out those in need.”
The proceeds from the sale of the painting will be donated to the needy:The ‘Pavitra Rishta’ actress’ Instagram handle is filled with pictures and videos of her colourful paintings, which are predominantly inspired by flowers. Prarthana also gave us a glimpse of the murals she painted on the walls of her house, some time ago. The actress has often stressed that painting isn’t just a creative outlet for her, but it also gives her happiness and helps her stay positive in these trying times.
