Known for the variety of roles in Marathi serials and movies actor Suyas Tilak has picked up cycling in lockdown. Recently he is seen posting about nature trails he took on a bicycle. Started recently, he is not limiting it to the small distance rides but also taking some long-distance rides too.
He shares about his passion with Pune Times. The Classmate actor said, “I used to do cycling during school and college days but later it stopped.
Now during lockdown, I picked it up for exercise and now it has become my routine. It was very difficult to restart cycling after a long gap and I had difficulty during the first few days. But now I am doing it regularly. I try to do at least 25-40 km daily.”
He is also enjoying long rides, “I did a couple of long-distance rides for 100 km one way. I enjoyed it. I am looking forward to a long tour on cycle where I will spend a few days, off course with proper gaps during the tour. Let's see when I can make it,” Suyash adds.
He also thinks that everybody should pick up cycling as it’s a great way of transport and also beneficial for health. “Considering the present traffic scenario, cycling will be a great option for commuting. It will also solve health issues for many people who have been suffering. It will take time to have dedicated cycle routes or tracks in the city but it should be there. It will be fun to commute on cycle in city. There are many cities in the world which have good cycle infrastructure.”
