The trailer shows a young boy (Chaitanya), his mischief and curiosity for simple things. He is seen wondering why his mother doesn’t cry for him.

Nagraj Mangule, who has penned the script of the film, will be seen portraying the role Chaitanya's father.
The trailer traces the life of an eight-year-old boy and his emotional world which follows him on an unexpected journey. Living in a remote village in Maharashtra, along the banks of a river, he is fathered by a small-time landlord and pampered by a loving and caring mother. The title of the film 'Naal' which means connection and trailer also show the bond between mother and son who feels that his mother doesn't love him. It would be interesting to see how, first-time director Sudhakar Reddy Yakkanti has managed to handle emotional scenes, tantrums and love between mother and son. The main theme of the film is picturised on the backdrop of Chaitanya's emotional world which makes the film unique.
