Come Onam, we get to hear a lot of Onam songs and be it floods or Corona, Onam is never complete without pookalam and songs. This year, amidst the Corona crisis, Vidyadharan master and team have come up with a nostalgic song which is thought provoking and beautiful. Titled Onamaanu, the song is sung and composed by the musician.
The visuals of the song are unique and also brings out the real onam feel where you have the longing to meet your dear ones to looking for a brighter year ahead.
The seven-minute-long song with visuals that itself tells a tale of a elderly person who finds hope in Onam, has been directed by

Talking about creating visuals for the magnificent lyrics and composition, Hari says that his biggest desire is to stay happy when he is old. "I have featured my dad as I have seen him living his life post the demise of my mom. And living with him I realised that old age should not have to be as lonely as we think. This inspired me to do the video. Here we have featured a father who is a farmer who is preparing for the future without any expectations and complaints," he says.
Hari says he actually targeted the young buds than the elders as it is important to understand the bonds that we need to keep and also the dialogues that will come within when they watch it. "We have been getting a lot of positive responses for the song," he says.
The nine-membered team shot the video in Moolamattom.
