This talented actor acted in a Malayalam movie Chandralekha, released in 1997. Chandralekha, a comedy film, was directed by Priyadarshan. Anil Kapoor did a cameo in the movie. Chandralekha turned out to be a superhit film.

Late actor Amrish Puri is prominently known for his villainous roles in the Bollywood industry. But not many know that he has also acted in two Malayalam films. He made his debut in Malayalam cinema with the film Chandragiri Kotta in 1984, directed by R. S. Babu. He also played a vital role in another Malayalam film, Kaalapani in the year 1996. Kaalapani was directed by Priyadarshan. The film won 3 National Film Awards and 6 Kerala State Film Awards. It was dubbed in Hindi and released as Sazayee.

Sunil Shetty has established himself as an action and comedy actor in Bollywood films. Sunil Shetty has also made special appearances in Malayalam films. He made his first appearance in the movie Kakkakuyil in the year 2001, directed by Priyadarshan. He was subsequently seen in films like Kilukkam Kilukilukkam and Kalimannu, directed by Sandhya Mohan and Blessy respectively.

Miss India 1984 and popular Bollywood actress, Juhi Chawla has also acted in Malayalam film Harikrishnans. Harikrishnans was directed by Fazil and turned out to be a blockbuster hit. Juhi Chawla played the lead role in the film along with Malayalam superstars Mammooty and Mohanlal. Harikrishnans was the first Indian film to have multiple climaxes.The multiple climaxes were necessary because of popularity of Mammootty and Mohanlal. In one climax, Mammootty who essayed the role of Hari in the film wins the toss and in the other climax Mohanlal who essayed the role of Krishnan wins the toss. It became necessary for the director to add two climaxes in the movie because both the actors had a strong fan base. A third climax was also planned for the movie featuring Shah Rukh Khan. This climax was planned for the neutral audiences but it was not executed and thus only a poster was released for the third climax.

Urmila Matondkar, who started off her career as a child actress in films like Kalyug and Masoom, made her Bollywood debut as an adult actor with the film Narsimha. But very few know that the actress actually made her debut as an adult actor in a Malayalam film, Chanakyan, in the year 1989. The film was directed by T. K. Rajeev Kumar and also starred Kamal Haasan. Urmila also acted in another superhit Malayalam film Thacholi Varghese Chekavar that released in 1995. The film starred Malayalam superstar Mohanlal alongside her.
