Producers
Haneef Adeni and Shareef Muhammed, who collaborated for 'Marco' last year, are coming together again for another movie titled 'Lord Marco'.
Unni Mukundan, who was the lead actor of the first film, is not headlining the upcoming part. Amidst all of this, there were speculations that 'KGF' star
Yash will be starring as the lead in the next movie. However, it seems fans will not be seeing the actor in the film.
According to the Cinema Express report, Yash's team has refuted all such rumors about him being cast in 'Lord Marco'. With that, fans are now wondering who would be playing the lead in the sequel to the blockbuster hit film.
Unni Mukundan and the makers had confirmed that there will be a sequel to the film after its release. However, later, the actor opted out due to a reported clash between him and the producers. He shared on Instagram, "Apologies, but I have dropped plans to continue the Marco series. Too much negativity around the project. I’ll try my best to bring something bigger and better than Marco."
Meanwhile, the makers have not stated that 'Lord Marco' is an official sequel to the 2024 release 'Marco'.
