When ‘ARM’ actor Tovino Thomas revealed his remuneration depends on a film’s scale

While Tovino Thomas is on cloud nine with the success of his recent release ‘Ajayante Randaam Moshanam’, here's revisiting a candid moment of the actor talking his mind about remuneration.

During a promotional event in Kochi for the film 'Adrishya Jalakangal', Tovino revealed that his paychecks aren't fixed but are determined by the scale and nature of the project at hand. He mentioned that he only does this for certain films, especially those that are non-commercial; he does this by deliberately not asking for his full wage.


The versatile actor cited how he aligns his expectations according to the potential box office performance of the film. Referring to his experience with the 2021 action drama ‘Kala’, Tovino said that instead of taking a salary for the film, he had invested in the project. He took this decision based on his desire to be part of such artistic films.

The actor also said that every role for him is an opportunity to grow more as an actor and delve deeper into cinema.

Meanwhile, Tovino Thomas’ recent outing ‘Ajayante Randam Moshanam’ is receiving good reviews from the audiences. The movie, which was directed by the debutant Jithin Laal, has raked in more than Rs 3 crores at the box office, setting the stage for the next blockbuster for the ‘Minnal Murali’ actor.
