Malayalam actor Sabumon who is currently basking in the success of the recently released Rajinikanth starrer ‘Vettaiyan’, is all set to don the director’s cap for the first time. Actress

Taking to his official Instagram handle, Sabumon made his announcement that read, “As an advocate of the law, I have always known my first film would come to life in the courtroom. I'm delighted to announce to the world that I will be collaborating with (a production house) on their sixth project, marking my directorial debut.”

He further said, “While I cannot say too much, I will tell you that the film is a legal drama rooted in realism, produced by @sanju_unnithan . I'm also excited to have the talented @prayagamartin on board for the project.”

Sabumon’s directorial debut will be bankrolled by the producer who has produced the recently released comedy film ‘Mandakini’ which turned out to be a superhit. The makers also announced the upcoming project ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’ starring the ‘Aasa Koodu’ fame Preity Mukhundan in the female lead.
Meanwhile, Sabumon replied to the criticisms he faced for providing legal assistance for Prayaga Martin who was allegedly linked with the gangster Omprakash. After Prayaga was cleared of any wrongdoing, Sabumon replied to the criticisms during the promotions of ‘Vettaiyan’, by saying that he decided to help her due to their friendship.
