Team 'Halal Love Story' stages a protest, urges ban of CAA

Zakariya Mohamed directed 'Halal Love Story' shoot has been wrapped and the team has now come together to stage a protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act 2019. By assembling the artists together with placards asking re-appeal of CAA and to reject it, the team chose a novel way to show their protest against CAA and NRC. Singer-composer Shahabaz Aman also crooned 'Hum Dekhenge', a popular poem by Faiz Ahmed Faiz, thereby marking their disagreement in a peaceful way.
The director extended his support to the students and citizens who are putting in efforts to take down the act.

Helmed by Zakariya Mohammed, 'Halal Love Story' is scripted by the director along with 'Virus' scriptwriter Mushin Parari. Actors Indrajith Sukumaran, Joju George, Grace Antony, and Sharafudheen will be seen in lead roles. Aashiq Abu, Jesna Ashim and Harshad Ali are bankrolling the project. Ajay Menon has cranked the lens and Saiju Sreedharan has been roped in as the editor for this film. Bijibal and Shahabaz Aman are jointly composing the music for 'Halal Love Story'.
