3 Idiots, is all set to sing for a Mollywood flick for the first time. He will make his debut with Perarasu���s Son of Alexander, which is a sequel to the yesteryear hit movie, Samrajyam.
The singer, who just finished recording the track, says, ���I thought it would be difficult. However, the recording was smooth. Now I just hope it will be well received by the audience,��� says the singer.
Shaan, who has become a household name in Bollywood, is equally popular in the South Indian film industry. He has sung in several Tamil, Telugu and Kannada films. ���I had sung in all South Indian languages except Malayalam. Surprisingly, nobody approached me for a Malayalam song till now,��� says Shaan.
Now that he has made his entry, will he continue to sing in Malayalam? ���Yes, I am open to it and hope I will get more offers here,��� he says.
Shaan���s song will be the introduction song of the film. ���It���s a peppy number; similar to songs in the Bollywood movie, Don,��� says the singer.
Ajmal, one of the producers of
Son of Alexander, informs us that Shaan will be singing one more song in the movie. The music is scored by debutant Shafeer and lyrics are by Vayalar Sharath Chandra Varma. The song will be released by the end of this month.
