Actor
Meena who is a familiar and loved presence in Malayalam cinema has reacted sharply to persistent rumours about her alleged second marriage. As she prepares for her much-awaited return in 'Drishyam 3' alongside Mohanlal speculation about her personal life resurfaced online. What began as baseless chatter soon grew into viral social-media claims and Meena has now chosen to address the matter directly.
Meena reacts to fake stories on her second marriage
In an interview with Galatta Tamil Meena said she feels deeply hurt by the rumours. “People continue to discuss my so-called second marriage, and it’s completely unacceptable. Those spreading these rumours forget that I have a daughter, and they don’t realise she sees all of this too,” she said.
'Drishyam' actor explained that the constant circulation of false stories affects her child and creates emotional strain within her family. Even though she tries to stay calm, there is a limit. “I am ignoring all of them now, but I cannot say when my patience will run out,” she added.
Meena expresses frustration
The actress expressed frustration over the entitlement some individuals feel when talking about the personal lives of women in the entertainment industry. “Some people assume that just because I am an actress and a woman, they can write whatever they want about me. Seeing such news leaves me both sad and angry,”she stated.
Meena emphasised that there is not even a hint of truth in the rumours. “If there was at least a little truth in the news, it would be okay. I feel disgust for those who write things as they saw them with their own eyes,” she said.
Actress says karma will not spare those who spread such lies
Meena shared that she tries to remain positive and avoid letting negativity affect her peace of mind. “I try to stay positive and keep myself happy. I don’t want to burden my mind with unnecessary things, so for now, I’m choosing to ignore all of this," she said. However, she warned that hurting others comes with consequences. “Those who hurt others will have to suffer the consequences. I have seen firsthand what those around me have suffered for the mistakes they have made. So karma will not spare those who spread such lies,” she added.
Toward the end of the interview Meena noted that discussions about marriage should begin with her, not with outsiders eager to create stories. She said,“My opinion is what should matter in a conversation about my marriage, yet everyone seems busy planning my wedding without even asking me.” The actress made it clear that decisions about her personal life rest solely with her and she will not allow rumours to dictate her narrative.
