Onam 2020: From Mohanlal to Kunchacko Boban, Mollywood celebs extend Onam wishes for fans

Onam, the annual harvest festival of Kerala is here. The day is considered as an auspicious one as it is the Thiruvonam day and it is believed to be the homecoming of Mahabali, the generous king who always wanted to see his subjects happy. Malayali’s across the globe are celebrating the festival, amid the pandemic. Although the celebrations aren’t fully-fledged this year, the Keralites can’t skip quintessential Onam Sadhya (feast), Onam Kodi (new clothes), and Athappoo (similar to Rangoli, but using flowers).All are ready to welcome king Mahabali, who stands symbolic of equality and prosperity. Mollywood celebrities are also observing the festival. From wearing the Kerala outfits to having the splendid feast, they are celebrating Onam at its fullest. Mohanlal has shared a picture of him setting the Athappookkalam and extended his warm Onam wishes for fans. “My heartfelt Onam greetings to all #Onam2020 #Onam,” Mohanlal tweeted.

Actress-filmmaker Geetu Mohandas is celebrating Onam with actor Indrajith Sukumaran and family. She was dressed in the Kerala Kasavu saree for the festive season. From taking pictures along with Poornima and Indrajith to having the traditional Onam Sadhya, the filmmaker is celebrating it at its best. “HAPPY ONAM ♥️,” Geetu Mohandas penned, sharing the pictures.

Onam is all about family time for filmmaker Aashiq Abu. He has shared a photo taken from the family gathering and also wished his followers a “Happy Onam ️”.

Actor Kunchacko Boban is someone, who never misses a chance to celebrate. The young actor is celebrating his second Onam with his son Izahaak. Kunchacko Boban shared a picture of him along with his wife Priya and their little munchkin Izahaak. “Wishing you allA Happy & Safe ONAM,” Kunchacko Boban penned.

Actress Nadiya Moidu was dressed in Kerala outfit on the special occasion and she is celebrating the harvest festival with her family. “Onam Ashamsagal wishing you all love and happiness on this auspicious occasion of Onam️#Onam,” she penned wishing her fans.
