Non Bailable warrant issued against actor Rizabawa

A non-bailable warrant has been issued against veteran actor Rizabawa by the Ernakulam District Magistrate court on account of a cheque bouncing case filed by CM Saddique, a native of Elamakkara.




Rizabawa had apparently given a cheque of Rs 11 lakh to Saddique which bounced. According to Saddique, marriage was fixed between Saddique's son and Rizabawa's daughter and the actor used this relation to borrow an amount of Rs 11 lakh from Saddique. The actor was reluctant to return the money and after much deliberation from Saddique, Rizabawa finally gave him a cheque in January 2015 which when presented at the bank got bounced.

The warrant is issued after Rizabawa failed to present himself at the court even after receiving many notices from the court. The final judgement of the case is expected to be announced on June 21.
