The trailer also hints at a troubled family and a police investigation. Vinay Forrt appears to play a cop, adding another layer to the narrative. Saiju Kurup, the head of the family, is seen sharing ideas with the family members on how to cover up the murder (or any other mystery element) in 'Drishyam' style.

Sequel promises a bigger narrative

'Bharathanatyam' - the first part focused on a middle-class family and the cracks in their carefully maintained image which is affected mainly when Saiju Kurup gets to know that his father had a second family.
While 'Bharathanatyam' was all about covering up his father's second family, the second part - 'Mohiniyattam', seems to be taking things more seriously, yet with a tint of humor.
