Manju had joined Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar on a long bike trip to Ladakh earlier. The journey covered around 2,500 kilometers. In early interviews, Manju said that this trip changed her. After that ride, she felt a strong wish to ride a bike on her own. She then went ahead and got her bike riding licence. The actress started riding independently.Manju Warrier was last seen in Mohanlal's 'Empuraan' which was directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran and received mixed reviews.
