‘Makal’: Everything you need to know about the Jayaram-Meera Jasmine starrer

Filmmaker Sathyan Anthikad, who began his journey in showbiz during the golden age of Malayalam cinema is active in the industry today and his movies have a fan base of its own. The filmmaker’s upcoming movie ‘Makal’, which has the power of bringing back the audience to the cinemas is gearing up for release. Balagopalan M.A’, ‘Varavelpu’, ‘Pingami’, ‘Sandhesam’, ‘Achuvinte Amma’- those were not only entertaining, but also thought provoking. The filmmaker has proved to the audience about what he could deliver, time and again and the upcoming film ‘Makal’ is surely going to be an entertainer

It has been about seven years since cinephiles have seen Meera Jasmine in a full-length role. The diva’s second innings itself is the USP of ‘Makal’. Meera Jasmine has earlier worked with Sathyan Anthikad’s films ‘Achuvinte Amma’, ‘Rasathanthram’, ‘Vinodayathra’, and ‘Innathe Chintha Vishayam’, and these movies hardly need an introduction! ‘Makal’ will mark Meera Jasmine’s collaboration with Sathyan Anthikad after 13 years, and the team surely has something exciting in the box.

‘Makal’ will feature Jayaram and Meera Jasmine in the lead roles. Actress Devika Sanjay, who had grabbed the attention of audience through Sathyan Anthikad’s ‘Njan Prakashan’ will be essaying a pivotal role in the film. Actors Innocent, Sreenivasan, and Siddique too are part of the cast! Well, you know what to expect, when you have a battalion of exceptional actors.

Dr. Iqbal Kuttippuram, who has scripted some gems like ‘Arabikkatha’, ‘Swapnakoodu’, and ‘Diamond Necklace’ has crafted the screenplay for ‘Makal’. The upcoming film is expected to be telling a slice-of-life story. And film will undoubtedly be something that one can enjoy with family and friends.
