Jeethu Joseph's eagerly awaited Malayalam film ‘Drishyam 3’ starring Malayalam superstar
Mohanlal is one of the highly anticipated films to release this year. As per the latest developments in the film, the production banner has invested over Rs 100 crore in the production house backing the film.
Banner pumps in Rs 100 crore
Production banner Pen Studios took to their Instagram handle to announce that they are set to invest Rs 100 crore in the Mohanlal starrer. This money is going into Aashirvad Cinemas, which is making the film.
The social media post read, “Pen Studios to invest Rs. 100 cr in Aashirvad Cinemas through Panorama Studios for the film Drishyam 3 starring Mohanlal.”
About ‘Drishyam 3’ shoot
Talking about the film, Mohanlal finished shooting his parts in December last year. A video of him cutting a cake with the team went viral. He started working on the film just before getting the Dadasaheb Phalke Award. The film was also launched with a puja near Kochi last year.
Director Jeethu Joseph shared a small hint about the story. He said, “The film focuses on what happens in Georgekutty’s life after four-and-a-half years. That is the crux of the story.” Producer Antony Perumbavoor also spoke about the film. He said, “The phenomenal response to the first two parts convinced us that Georgekutty’s journey had more to tell.” The film was shot in places like Thodupuzha, Vagamon, and Ernakulam.
Plot of 'Drishyam’ franchise
'Drishyam' is one of the most iconic crime thrillers known for its gripping structure and suspense in its storytelling. The first part of the film was released in 2013 and the sequel in 2021. It tells the story of Georgekutty, a cable TV operator who lives a simple life with his wife and two daughters.
