Is all the negative publicity helping Ramaleela?

Dileep's upcoming film Ramaleela has been the talk of the town ever since its release date was announced.
Ever since there has been opinions for and against the film. Some, including women's groups, have expressed their opinion that they wouldn't watch the film of someone who has been accused of rape, while while others like Joy Mathew and Vineet Sreenivasan say that a film should be treated as a film.There has been a boycott Ramaleela capmaign on the one hand, and a Support Ramaleela campaign on the other.
Amidst all the controversy, the fact remains that the film remains in the news and is being discussed left and right. The scriptwriter of the film, Sachy, has also revealed that there are indeed uncanny similarities between the film and Dileep's real life. Whether the publicity, negative or not, will actually help the film remains to be seen.
