I am not a liar: Shweta Menon

With regard to the recent controversy where actress Shweta Menon accused MP Peethambara Kuruppu of molesting her at a public event at Kollam recently, Shwetha has asserted that she is saying the truth. Shwetha had earlier said that she had contacted the Kollam District Collector over the phone and informed him of the issue. However, the collector later denied receiving any such call.
Shwetha has now said that she is deeply hurt and disappointed at this reaction from such a high official such as the collector. Several political leaders had also alleged that she was just looking for cheap publicity, and even that the accusations were baseless and had political intentions.
