Gauthami Nair in 'Monkeys'
Juggling between books and movies, Gauthami Nair has bagged yet another promising role. The actress, who was last seen playing a village belle in Sunil Ibrahim’s Chapters, is gearing up for the role of a next-door-girl in Lijin Jose’s Monkeys.
“I play Salma, a bold girl who works with a construction company. Salma plays an important role in the climax,” informs Gauthami. The story revolves around three youngsters, who run into trouble after they come across a bag containing abusive substances. The actress will share screenspace with Sunny Wayne, Siddharth Bharathan and Manu in the film.
Though Monkeys is set to go on floors, director Lijin Jose informs that the movie has been delayed for two months. “Due to the upcoming fund raiser event organised by AMMA, a majority of artistes are tied up with its practise sessions. So we have been asked to schedule any shoot after a month or so,” says Lijin.
Meanwhile, Gauthami is also preparing for her role as a college student in Rajesh Gopan’s women-centric movie, Mirror, alongside Shwetha Menon, Meghana Raj, Bhamaa and Aparna Nair.
