First look poster of Biju Menon-Asif Ali’s ‘Thalavan’ out!

Biju Menon and Asif Ali are reuniting for ‘Thalavan’, directed by Jis Joy and the makers have now launched the film's first look poster. The first look features Biju Menon and Asif Ali in the garb of police officers. Biju Menon plays the role of DYSP Jayashankar, while Asif Ali plays the role of SI Karthik.

Sharing the first look poster the makers captioned, "the ultimate battle of ego."

Helmed by Jis Joy, ‘Thalavan’ is an investigative thriller. Speaking to Kochi Times earlier, the director said, “It has a very naadan setting, and revolves around an investigation at a local police station and the hierarchy in the force. That is why we chose Thalassery as the setting; it is my first time venturing out of the Kochi urban space."


Actors Anusree and Miya are the leading ladies of the film. Miya essays the role of Biju Menon’s wife in the film. Dileesh Pothen plays a pivotal role in the film. The film also has actors Ranjith, Kottayam Nazeer, and Jaffer Idukki in important roles.

The story and the screenplay of the upcoming film is crafted by debutants Anand Thevarkatt and Sharath Perumbavoor. Jis Joy himself writes the dialogues. On the technical front, the cinematography for the film is done by Sharan Velayudhan. Sooraj ES has roped in as the editor. Deepak Dev is composing the music for the film.
