Its scriptwriter Babu Janardhanan tells us, 'The character is in stark contrast to what he has played thus far. He is an anti-hero, who manipulates and cheats his employer Lolappan, who is played by Innocent, for money.'
Biju plays Innocent's driver and personal assistant in the movie. While the duo enjoys a friendly relationship at first, what sets Biju Menon's character on the wrong path is a car accident.
'Lolappan kills a person in a car accident and Biju's character offers to solve the case by getting another man to take the blame in return for `5 lakhs. While the third party is initially interested, he soon backs out, leading to altercations that take the plot forward,' says the scriptwriter.
The film, though narrated through humour, will be a social satire that will touch on the prevalent topics of unemployment and government's liquor policy while highlighting its socio-political implications, says Babu Janardhanan, who had previously scripted movies such as Thalappavu and City of God. Swarnakaduva has Poojitha Menon and Ineya as its female leads.
