After premiering in the Directors' Fortnight section of the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year and receiving praise at other prestigious venues, including the 28th Busan International Film Festival and the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne, the
Kanu Behl directorial 'Agra' will now be showcased at the International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK). The film is scheduled to be screened at three venues: Tagore Theatre on December 9 at 6 pm, New Theatre on Dec 11 at 11:30 am, and Kairali Complex on Dec 14 at 11:30 am.
Reviewed by critics as an insightful take on sexual repression, and the need for breathing space within dysfunctional family units, 'Agra' features Rahul Roy in a stunning comeback with Priyanka Bose, Mohit Agarwal, Ruhani Sharma,
Vibha Chibber, Sonal Jha, and Aanchal Goswami.

Since his debut film, 'Titli,' Kanu Behl has demonstrated his commitment to path-breaking narratives, diverse themes, and bold explorations of the human psyche. He says, "What I love about Malayalam cinema is that it dares to tell very complex stories and I hope the audience here will like 'Agra' as well. What has struck me the most during our journey with this film around the world is how people have connected with its characters despite the unfamiliar environment they are rooted in. There is so much joy when what you believed to be personal, becomes universal."
The 28th edition of IFFK will commence in Thiruvananthapuram on December 8. The week-long festival, spanning 15 venues, will screen nearly 175 movies from 81 countries worldwide. 'Agra' is written by Kanu Behl and Atika Chohan.
