There are some movie scenes that never really go away. One such scene is from 'Salam Kashmir'. It is the moment when Suresh Gopi’s character introduces Jayaram as Major Sreekumar. Jayaram then walks forward slowly while the “Paappapaa…” background music plays. Although 'Salam Kashmir' was a flop, that music and walk is still viral on social media.
'Salam Kashmir' was directed by Joshiy. Jayaram played the lead role. Suresh Gopi also appeared in an important role. The film did not do well in theatres. It got poor reviews and became a big flop. Many scenes from the movie were trolled badly. But among all of them, the “Paappapaa…” entry scene stood out.
A surprise link to 'Aashakal Aayiram'
Now, that old memory has come back into discussion. According to Reporter website, actor
Kalidas Jayaram has revealed in an interview that 'Aashakal Aayiram' has a surprise linked to the famous “Paappapaa…” moment. He did not reveal everything in detail. But he confirmed that the team is aware of how popular that scene became. The makers have played with that memory in a fun way.
Ramesh Pisharody on missing comedy
Actor and comedian Ramesh Pisharody’s words are also being shared widely. He spoke about how comedy scenes are slowly disappearing from Malayalam cinema. He said, “At one time, satellite channels used to regularly air comedy clips. Actors like Pappu chettan and Jagathi chettan ruled that space and entertained everyone. But if you search for a comedy clip from the last 10 years of Malayalam cinema, you won’t find much. It has become very rare.”
What 'Aashakal Aayiram' is about
'Aashakal Aayiram' is Jayaram’s next Malayalam film as a lead actor after 'Abraham Ozler'. Kalidas Jayaram also plays an important role in the movie. The film is directed by G Prajith. He earlier made 'Oru Vadakkan Selfie' and 'Sathyam Paranja Vishwasikkuvo'. The script is written by the '2018' fame Jude Anthany Joseph.Get the latest entertainment updates from the Times of India, along with the
