Nayanthara is one of the biggest stars in Indian cinema now. The beauty who is a Keralite by birth has emerged as the ‘Lady Superstar’ of South Indian cinema and her acting chops and popularity hardly needs an introduction. But do you know that the gorgeous diva has worked as a television presenter before venturing into movies? Yes, that’s right, Nayanthara has hosted a television show for a Malayalam entertainment channel and we have to agree that she was great with that too!
It has been over a decade and a half since Nayanthara has entered the glitz and glamour of movies.Nayanthara marked her debut in movies with Sathyan Anthikad’s directorial Malayalam movie ‘Manasinakkare’. She romanced Jayaram in the movie. Following that she signed for veteran filmmaker Fazil’s movie ‘Vismayathumbathu’, wherein she played the lead opposite Mohanlal. Nayanthara started getting more and more offers and in her third movie, she again shared screen space with Mohanlal. Later she signed two movies ‘Thaskara Veeran’ and ‘Rappakal’ in which she was paired alongside Megastar Mammootty. Nayanthara later went on conquering the hearts of Tamil and Telugu audiences.
Some of the popular Malayalam movies of Nayanthara includes, ‘Rappakal’, ‘Bodyguard’, ‘Elektra’, ‘Bhaskar the Rascal’, ‘Puthiya Niyamam’ among others. Meanwhile, on the work front, Nayanthara’s recent Malayalam release was ‘Love Action Drama’. She played Shoba in the movie and romanced Nivin Pauly. The movie emerged as a blockbuster in the box office, and it has crossed 50crores in worldwide box office collection within a couple of weeks.
