Kalyani Priyadarshan's female superhero flick 'Lokah: Chapter 1 – Chandra' has had a dream run at the box office since its release on August 28. The Malayalam fantasy drama went on to become one of the most profitable films of the year and is still enjoying a decent hold in theatres.As per trade tracker Sacnilk, the movie collected Rs 2 crore on Monday. The movie registered Rs 47 crores in two weeks and then went on to make Rs 4.05 crore on day 16. Later on the last weekend, the movie had a good run of collecting Rs 6.65 crore and Rs 7 crore on Saturday and Sunday. After yesterday's collection, it collected a total of Rs 122.05 crore domestically.

Theatre occupancy

The film is receiving all the love from its original, Malayalam audience, as the overall occupancy on Monday was at 32.28 percent. The morning shows were at 15.34 percent and later went on to 26.30 percent. Later, the occupancy rates rose to 40.58 percent in the evening and almost half the theaters were filled as the rate of night shows was 46.91 percent.

The Telugu occupancy throughout the day was at 15.35%. The morning shows started at 12.89 percent and could only go to 14.85 percent. Later, there was a drop in the rates to 12.69 percent and night shows turned out to be at 20.97 percent.

The film backed by Dulquer Salmaan's production house, was made on a budget of Rs 30 crore and went on to become a superhit. It has collected four times more than its budget domestically as of now.
