The news of the legendary singer’s demise on Friday has come as a major shock to the film industry as a whole and also the fans of the singer. Members of the industry took to their social media page to pay tribute to the legendary singer. From Darshan, Puneeth Rajkumar to big names from the music industry were also seen posting emotional videos as tributes.
The news did dishearten many as despite news of his health deteriorating during the second week in hospital, he was gradually making progress, and his son SP Charan was also seen diligently updating on his health status.

In fact, Charan's last update, on September 22, said he was making steady progress even though he was on Ecmo/ventilator, and was eager to leave the hospital.
Sadly, the acclaimed singer's health deteriorated in the last 24 hours and he passed away a few minutes ago, today. Since news broke of the singer's critical condition, there has been an outpouring of wishes and prayers from people of all walks of life for his speedy recovery.
Calling the legendary singer's demise "unfortunate", PM Modi added that the cultural world is a lot poorer now with his loss.

Singer Lata Mangeshkar also took to her social media page and expressed her sadness on hearing the news of SPB's demise.

"One of the gentlest but most magnificent notes in music is lost forever but will remain forever. Great loss. I treasure every interaction with the legend. #SPBalasubrahmanyam posted actor Ramesh Aravind along with an emotional video remembering the late singer.


Actor Darshan Thoogudeepa was also seen sharing a lengthy post remembering the iconic singer. Darshan called his shocking demise, a sad news and fate for the nation and prayed for his departed soul.

Shivanna was also seen offering his condolences to the family in his post. Shivarajkumar on his twitter page has posted that the death of SPB is a personal loss to him . "My heartfelt condolences to the family for this irreparable loss. Your talent is unparalleled,a great loss to the industry and a personal loss as well. You will be missed (sic)" he posted.

Actor Rakshit Shetty also posted a n emotional tribute for the late singer. "Deeply saddened to hear that #SPBalasubramaniam sir is no more. An era has come to an end today. You will always be remembered. Rest In Peace sir." He posted.

Director Pavan Wadeyar was also seen sharing a post paying his heartfelt tribute to the late singer. "Death could just end your life sir. But your relationship with people is everlasting. #SPBalasubrahmanyam sir" he posted.

Actress Anupama Parameswaran shared a beautiful song and posted, "Considering myself the luckiest to have been featured in this song🙏🏼😔 RIP our dearest SPB sir 💔

Actor Puneeth Rajkumar also shared his shock on hearing the news. "Deeply saddened to know that Dr. SPB is no more. His melodious voice will always be remembered. RIPFolded hands #RIPSPB #SPBalasubramaniam (sic)", posted Puneeth.

Actor Dhananjaya was also seen posting a life-like sketch of the late singer along with a moving post saying, "you will be with us forever."

Actress Priyanka Upendra was also seen penning an emotional post for SPB. "You live on in our hearts..always remembered, cherished and loved for touching our hearts with your soulful melodies..Forever your fan🙏🏻Rest in peace Sir, Om Shanti🙏🏻🙏🏻 #spbalasubramaniam"

Another heart warming post came in from Santhosh Ananddram who said that the legendary singer will live on through his voice and every time one would hear his songs, he would live.

Musician Raghu Dixit was also seen sharing his selfie moment with the late singer. "Will miss you Sir. May your soul rest in peace. Spent a few minutes with you back stage but you left love, lessons and blessings with me for a lifetime. Your music, your voice, your kindness and your beautiful words and heart will live on forever. " he posted.

Actor Prajwal Devaraj posted, "From listening to your songs to acting in them, you’ve been an integral part of my life sir. I’ve been an ardent fan of yours and will continue to be forever. #ripspbsir".

Artist Vilas Nayak was also seen paying a video tribute to the late singer by posting a video of him painting his face.
"The greatest of all time - SPB sir no more:( for a generation that grew up listening to his songs this is a great loss. As an artist I always looked up to him for his humility inspite of having such a long successful career....Through your music you will forever live in our heart sir and will always be an inspiration for me! (sic)" he shared.

Actress Sudharani shared a video of her brother dedicating his studio to the late singer. "My brother Murali had dedicated his studio to his mentor SPB Sir.... they were the thickest of friends in all aspects... age was never a barrier. A huge personal loss, losing two people close to your heart within a year is traumatic," she posted.

"I am shocked by the death of SPB. We have a lost a doyen in the music field. Let his soul Rest in Peace." Posted Nikhil Kumaraswamy.
