Aurko takes the stage for a cause
On March 8, Indian folk rock Bangalore-based band Aurko will take the stage at the Indiranagar Sangeetha Sabha as part of the Pan-IIT Fundraiser Music Fest to support the initiative of Magsaysay Award winner Dr Harish Hande in providing solar lamps to rural school-going children.
Aurko -- which comprises Supratik Ghosh (vocals), Jeet (lead guitar and backing vocals), Avik (bass and backing vocals), Ashish John (drums), Arun Shiva Ganesh (Latin and Indian Percussion) and Rishi (keyboard and backing vocals) -- will perform a mix of retro and current Bollywood hits during the three-hour concert.
