Suhasini to direct a Kannada film

Veteran filmmaker SV Rajendra Singh Babu has roped in actress-filmmaker Suhasini Maniratnam to direct a film under his banner. One may recall that the duo share a professional rapport that dates back to over three decades, when they first worked together in

Bandhana

, where Rajendra Singh directed her. The filmmaker reveals, “We have just mutually agreed upon doing this film, which she will be directing for me. We’re now going to formalize it soon. Nothing else regarding the team or casting has been decided as of yet.”

Suhasini has previously directed the 1995 film Indira and has also written dialogues for three of her husband Mani Ratnam’s films. The National Award-winning actress has periodically worked in

Kannada

cinema and is next going to be seen in the Srinagara Kitty-Kriti Kharbanda-starrer Paapu.
