Shravani Subramanya forced to make way for Yamudu
The Ganesh and Amulya-starrer Shravani Subramanya, which has been running successfully in theatres since its release, has been forced to make way for this week’s big Sankranti release, the Telugu film Yamudu, which has Ram Charan Tej and Allu Arjun in the lead, in some theatres. Producer KA Suresh has filed a complaint against the move with the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce and is planning to stage a dharna in front of the halls that are now screening the non-Kannada film.

Incidentally, this is not the first time that Suresh has been in this position. Not long ago, the producer’s film Govindaya Namaha was moved out of movie halls to make way for the Puneeth Rajkumar-starrer Anna Bond. At the time, Govindaya Namaha was running successfully in halls.
Unfortunately for the filmmaker, though, his movie’s removal from theatres comes at a time when the demand for dubbed content from other languages has come up again.
