TV show to ‘KGF’ success: Here’s a glimpse of birthday boy Yash’s glittering career

Rocking Star Yash is a prominent actor in Sandalwood, he has achieved fame after an initial struggle. Through ‘KGF’ he earned massive popularity across India and went on to win massive awards. He is not only an actor but is also a popular singer. The star is celebrating his 34th birthday today and here’s taking a look at his glorious career.

Yash was born as Naveen Kumar Gowda in Bhuvanahalli village near Hassan district. He was born to Arun Kumar J, who was a BMTC driver, and Pushpa Latha. After his studies, he joined the Benaka drama troupe which was formed by BV Karanth and learned acting under his guidance. Yash ran away from his house and reached Bangalore with Rs 300 in his pocket and started his career with a whole lot of obstacles. He spent nights with his relatives and friends before becoming a star.

After a lot of struggle Yash managed to make his first screen debut with a TV show. His appearance and acting in this series earned him a whole lot of opportunities.

Yash marked his big screen debut with ‘Jambada Hudugi’ in 2007 wherein he played a small role. He essayed the lead in ‘Moggina Manasu’ along with Radhika Pandit as the female lead. After this, he took up all the opportunities that came his way and proved his acting talent with films like ‘Rocky’, ‘Rajadhani’ ‘Gokula’ and ‘Thamassu’ to name a few.

After acting in eight movies and several TV serials, Yash got a big hit in the form of ‘Kirataka’ in 2011. Yash played the role of Mandya lover boy in the film and his acting was well appreciated by the audience. This was a career-changing movie for Yash and he went on to deliver several hits like ‘Lucky’, ‘Drama’, ‘Googly’, ‘Raja Huli’, ‘Mr. and Mrs Ramachari’, ‘Santhu Straight Forward’ and others.

Yash earned nationwide attention with his character of Rocky Bhai in ‘KGF: Chapter 1’. After the success of ‘Santhu Straight Forward’, he dedicated four years to ‘KGF’. His dedication and commitment towards films have made his a huge star.
