The mysterious face of RangiTaranga

One thing that has got people guessing about upcoming Kannada feature film RangiTaranga is the ‘face’ of the lead actor Nirup, which appears to be torn on the left to reveal a sinister painted face within. Director Anup Bhandari says, “It plays an important role in the film and at a high level, talks about the dual nature of the characters in the film, including Nirup’s character, Gautham.The core mystery of the film begins with the face and takes a big twist, thanks to the face.” Anup worked with makeup artist Kumar Nonavinakere and art consultant Raaghu to come up with the design for the face. The makeup itself would take a lot of time as it is very intricate and detailed. While there is a song that features the face with some haunting music and lyrics composed and written by Anup, B Ajaneesh Loknath has worked on a theme for the face, which the team has named Saavina Jogula (The Lullaby of Death). It is bound to evoke a mixture of emotions which will range from sorrow to fear and ultimately give goosebumps when it reaches its grand finale.
